To meet the massive computing needs of next-generation sequencing technologies, The Genome Institute has built a 16,000 square-foot data center on Newstead Avenue across the street from the center's current facility on the School of Medicine campus. When complete, the data center will support over 100 racks of highly dense data storage and computing solutions. You can find more information on the data center in a story by the Washington University School of Medicine.
