Below is a list of experiments performed by the GSC Microarray Facillty
on the first batch of C. neoformans array slides. Experiments were designed
by Tamara Doering and materials used were generated in her lab;
please contact her ( doering@wustl.edu)
with any specific questions. ( QC Data)
- Genomic DNA of C. neoformans JEC21 versus itself (JEC21 vs self)
& of C. neoformans H99 versus itself (H99 vs self)
- Genomic DNA of C. neoformans JEC21 versus C. neoformans H99 (JEC21 vs H99)
- RNA of C. neoformans JEC21 grown in YNB at 25 °C versus at 37 °C.
(see comparison of expression at 25 °C to 37 °C; 25 °C to itself)
- PCR products corresponding to segments of coding sequence from 6 C. neoformans genes were mixed and
used to test the array by hybridizing against JEC21 genomic DNA (to provide a background).
The genes amplified were CMT1, UXS1, VRG4, UGD1, ADE2, and HVG1;
this mixture resulted in identification of the six array positions that correspond to these genes (PCR products).
