National DNA Day Symposium

The Outreach Department at the Genome Sequencing Center-Washington University School of Medicine, invites the submission of abstracts for the DNA Day Symposium, on April 25, 2008. National DNA Day began in 2003 and commemorates the completion of the Human Genome Project and the discovery of the double helix nature of DNA.
The purpose of this symposium is to recognize the contributions of students to ongoing research in the fields of genetics and genomics as well as to recognize the accomplishments made since the completion of the Human Genome Project. We are accepting abstracts in all areas of genetics and genomics research including but not limited to: bioinformatics, comparative genomics, applied and functional genomics, molecular genetics, population genetics, evolutionary genetics/genomics, genetic epidemiology. All accepted abstracts will be presented in poster format.
Eligibility
The poster session is open to all students enrolled in programs leading to the BA, BS, PhD, or MD/PhD at Washington University in St. Louis.
Prizes will be awarded to the top ranked posters in two categories: undergraduate and graduate.
