Introduction

An earlier version of this slide show was presented at the 1999 Cold Spring Harbor Conference on Sequencing and Mapping. The presentation starts out with an introduction to sequence-based SNP discovery. It then introduces the PolyBayes SNP analysis approach through its application to SNP detection in human EST sequences anchored to large-insert genomic clone sequences. An overiew of current SNP mining projects using the PolyBayes software follows.
