Alexus Sanders

Alexus is a rising senior at Washington University in St. Louis. She will graduate in December 2022 with a B.S in Computational Biology and Genomics and minors in Computer Science and anthropology. When she is not studying, she enjoys attending Orange Theory fitness classes and bartending at Lifetime Athletic Country Club. Post-graduation Alexus plans to work in a computer science focused role before attending a graduate program for Genetics and Biological anthropology.

Research Area

This summer, Alexus is continuing her semester work in the Wroblewski Primate Genetics and Molecular Evolution Lab on the Danforth Center. Her work focuses on characterizing the impact of differences between plasmodium infection in Gorilla beringei and Gorilla gorilla MHC Class-I diversity.
